Democrat’s campaign weapons: Class Warfare, Racism and Scaring Tactics
The above title might appear partisan; yet it is not. We are merely trying to analyze the methods used by Democrats to persuade citizens to vote for their candidates. This is nothing new and if it had not been successful in previous elections, they would not continue to do so. Common Sense Politics has only listed three such categories even though there are many others in their arsenal. Let us look at them separately:
- Class Warfare: This is one of the Democrat’s favorite and effective weapons. It appeals to lower income people who are envious of the higher income class, the so-called rich people. For the Democrats, there are three groups of America’s citizens: The rich, the middle class and the poor. And while the poor are automatically ‘victims’ to Democrats, they want us to believe that they – the Democrats – represent the middle class, also known as the working class. And the only group remaining that they can attack is the ‘rich’ people. And it is not enough that the rich people should be punished to pay the bulk of taxes (which they already do with our progressive tax system), Democrats also smear these people, trying to make them out to be the “lucky ones” in the country as if these people all were born into comfortable lives and never worked a day in their life. This is utterly shameful on the part of the Democrats but then we question their sense of shamefulness. The vast majority of teachers in America are liberal and therefore Democrats and they tell their pupils year after year that the sky is the limit as to their (the students) ambitions and achievements but then Democratic leaders turn right around and condemn and smear them as they become successful in achieving their goals when it results in wealth. From Presidential candidate Barack Obama we know, that the group of ‘Rich people’ starts at an income level of $250,000/year and that he will tax them more in order to, and we quote his own words “to spread the wealth around”, a clear expression of socialism! We can deduce that the middle class’s upper income level is at about $249,000 annually. There is no rationale for this statement but then, it is a proven campaign tactic to wage class warfare and it includes the majority of potential voters, some might be persuaded to vote accordingly. This weapon becomes even more devious when political opponents, i.e. the Republicans, are being linked to the ‘rich people’ and are therefore automatically evil too.
- Racism: This weapon of the Democrats is especially prevalent this year since we have in Barack Obama a partial African-American. Any statement by anyone negative in content or nature towards blacks is racism, even if it is criticism of a black person’s actions or behavior. While Democrats have used this tactic for a great number of years, it is especially strong in 2008. The Republicans, having been aware of this situation, have been extremely careful not to render any such comments and criticisms. They did not take the bait and this obviously frustrated the Democrats and especially their frontrunner Obama. It resulted in him bringing it up at campaign stops. He has been heard many times making such statements like “they will tell you that I am black, that I don’t look like the other guys on the dollar bills” and so on. Since no such statement by a Republican has ever been made, this is outrageous race-baiting and unbecoming for a candidate for the highest office in the country! There are other comments by Democrats and liberal media types that we should be aware of; the ‘Bradley’ effect, meaning that white people will not tell pollsters that they will not vote for a black man but instead lie about it as to not to appear biased. The term ‘Bradley effect‘ was coined after Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley was leading in polls prior to the 1982 gubernatorial race in California and yet lost by several percentage points. Once again, us white folks are therefore racists and cannot be trusted when we talk to a pollster. This is truly outrageous and only believed and perpetuated by liberals and those that want to see a continuation of racial divides. Shame on them all! How can we ever truly come together as ‘One nation under God, indivisible with justice for all’ when this race baiting is continuing?
- Scaring the older folks: This one is the vilest and most vicious weapon used by Democrats. For many decades they have scared the older folks among America’s citizenry to believe that the Republicans will cut Social Security and Medicare. These claims were made without any basis in fact and have unnecessarily worried those in our midst who live their retirement years on fixed incomes and who depend more heavily on Medicare. We can hardly express our discust for Democrats using this weapon to scare older folks into voting for them to attain public office. Not once has Social Security or Medicare been reduced even when the Republicans were in control of the White House and Congress. And yet, Barack Obama recently told voters that his opponent John McCain would slice Medicare by over 800 billion dollars if he were elected. This is so incredibly shameful by Obama, which we truly have to question everything he has ever said or promised. In fact, shameful is not the appropriate word for such statements, disgraceful, obscene, immoral and sluttish would be more appropriate and for that we say: You ought to be ashamed, Barack Obama for doing this and going there! America’s seniors deserve better than to be lied to so blatantly by a Presidential candidate.
If this article comes across as partisan, then we plead guilty; we promote common sense and logic and reject dirty tactics for political or other gains and will call out anyone who uses them.
