Presidential Finalists – Really?

For about two weeks, we have had two finalists in the Presidential sweepstakes, two United States Senators, John McCain (R) from Arizona and Barack Obama (D) from Illinois. We predicted this outcome well over three months ago in ‘And the Winner Are…‘ but the Primary season dragged on into June and so it is only now that we have reached this point where the upcoming Party conventions in August and September will officially declare these two gentlemen the candidates of their respective parties.

Wow! An Accelerating DNC Mess

One of the hottest issues in the Presidential election primary season on the Democrat’s side has been how to solve the situation of not having the states of Michigan and Florida represented at the Democrat convention in late August of this year. We here at Common Sense Politics think it worthy of analysis and review. Let us first look at the facts and events that began last year: Read More→

Re-writing Presidential Qualities for Senator Clinton to Include ‘Congenital Lying’

About two weeks ago, Common Sense Politics posted an article about the Hate Rants of Barack Obama’s pastor, it is therefore only fair that we take a closer look at what happened in the Clinton campaign. On three different occasions including as recent as March 17, 2008, Democrat Presidential candidate, Senator Hillary Clinton told about her experiences during a visit to Bosnia in March 1996 with daughter Chelsea. Super Week!

Between January 29 and February 5 of 2008, eight days in total, no other word was used as often as the word “Super”! Utter Nonsense!

Next week Tuesday, registered voters in 22 States will go to the polls to fill out their ballots by making their choices in the Presidential sweepstakes for the two major parties. This day has been dubbed “Super Tuesday” for a long time due to the multitude of primary elections being held across the country. And all this has been sanctioned by the National Committees of the two major parties, Democrats and Republicans. In fact, having their delegates at the National conventions reduced or even totally eliminated has punished some States that held their primary elections or caucuses on earlier dates. The presidential candidates on both sides had no say in the matter and therefore had to go along with it.

What does this mean and why do we think it makes no sense? There are several reasons why Common Sense Authors questions Read More→
